I have been working as a professional artist since 2002, and have had a variety of artistic experiences.
I began teaching in 2005 and continue to balance art and instruction in everyday. To be able to share my passion for creative thinking is a joy yet to be surpassed.
In my art I work towards an understanding of empathy, human emotion and the interpretations by people of the world we create. In my heart is the smile of every child who has hugged me or said “thank you Miss Sharon.” And so my subject matter often is of or includes the delights of children. I also enjoy reflecting nature and my environment in my work. I enjoy a variety of media and work on many pieces simultaneously.
I continue to look for new challenges, new commissions and opportunities to meet other artists and children’s art educators.
